I miss you dad. You were my hero. You worked so hard all the time for all of us. Thank you for your life and for everything you taught me.

A good man is far and in between but I found one and I can’t help but think my dad had something to do with it. I truly believe my dad led me to the love of my life, the man I’m going to marry one day, my best friend, and my partner in crime.

My dad would have loved getting to know AJ. They would have shared laughter and tools while they fixed up the mustang in the garage. I could see them talking about nothing but having a good time anyway in the living room. I could see him giving AJ his blessing for my hand in loving matrimony.

A good man is far and in between but I found one and my dad would want me to give myself permission to fall in love and be loved by this amazing man I found. I like to believe my dad would be proud of the woman I’m evolving into and for the decisions I’ve made.

He would be proud of my relationship with my mom because we’ve come such a long way together. I feel like now my mom sees me and accepts me. We had a bumpy past but we got past it. All my dad wanted was for us to get along and he got that wish before he died.

Thank you for listening kind stranger. I hope you give yourself permission to enjoy life and to fall in love with yourself and be loved by those in your life. I hope you find peace and solace in your hardships. I am here for you.
